S2S products are self-healing lubricants and will remain wet. You cannot paint over them, as the paint will not bond properly to the metal. However, you can apply S2S products over paint.
Applying S2S products is simple. Minimal surface preparation is required, and no training or certification is needed.
All S2S products can be applied to surfaces of various profiles without the removal of mill scale. They can also be applied to damp surfaces.
There is no curing time for S2S products; protection starts as soon as the products are applied.
The only way to remove S2S products, is to break the polar bond with a high pH detergent.
The difference between the products is their thickness; the thicker the product, the longer it will last and the more lubricating it will be.
Thinner products have better dielectric and penetration capabilities.
All S2S products are non-toxic, non-hazardous ad have ultra-low VOCs (less than 1%).
S2S products are not flammable and do not sustain burning.
S2S products polar bond to the metal forming an even, dripless, self healing film.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does S2S prevent rust and corrosion?
A: A rust cell is similar to a battery; there is an anode, cathode and a path for current. A transfer of electrons takes place causing reduction in the metal thickness. S2S products eliminate the path for electrons (water for instance) scavenging oxygen from the surface leaving an ultra-thin, fluid, dielectric coating that acts as a liquid insulator preventing the transfer of electrons and thereby shutting down the rust cell.
Q: Will S2S remove rust??
A: S2S is not formulated to remove rust, however it does creep under existing rust to act as a de-scaler. When applied, S2S will stop oxidation 100%. It will penetrate rust and corrosion scale to the base metal, loosening and easing removal.
Q: What surface preparation is required??
A: Little preparation is required. S2S can be applied to damp, rusted, bare and epoxy coated surfaces. S2S polar bonds to metal, creeps into cracks and penetrates existing scale. Because of S2S’s ability to de-scale, over time heavily rusted areas may require a second coat to re-coat and protect affected areas.
